About the Event
The presentation will focus on the potential of networks for peace, drawing on a recent experience in Colombia where they met with the Love Foundation, an organization that supports women who have experienced conflict. The Love Foundation's initiative, Seamstresses of Peace, provides mental health relief and economic empowerment through art and entrepreneurship, using sewing workshops as a platform.
Manuela Cordoba is an international lawyer and human rights advocate, writer of the book “36 hours of flight, 12 days of peace" currently serving as President of the Rotary Club Bogotá Centenario. She has worked with indigenous and rural communities on human rights, business, and peacebuilding initiatives, and has represented youth leadership at global forums such as the University of Oxford and St. Gallen.
